I immediately dismissed any 'free' financial software (Mint, etc.) - I believe that you get what you pay for and there is no such thing as 'free.' I've been a quicken user for about 25 years and this was an update from my Quicken 2012 version. Quicken for Mac also falls a bit short when it comes to investment tools, especially in regard to its lack of automatic cost-basis calculations. The replacement had to be online available from my phone, tablet, etc., and no software installations almost every year. Quicken for Mac still trails Quicken for Windows in ease of use, interface (i.e., navigation), intuitiveness, versatility, and features. Now that Quicken has moved to a new online bill.
